Choosing the right size for your new e-bike is crucial to your riding experience. A bike that fits you perfectly will give you better control, greater safety and – most importantly – much better comfort, so you avoid sore shoulders and back, even on long rides.
At Batribike we value Danish design and quality, but it doesn't help much if the bike doesn't fit your body. That's why we've made it easy to find the right frame size.
Why is frame size important?
When you ride an electric bike, you often go on longer trips. This requires that the distance from the saddle to the handlebars and pedals is set correctly. If the frame is too big, you will feel like you are "swimming" and losing control. If it is too small, you will feel squeezed.
Rule of thumb: Your height determines the size
The quickest way to find your size is to start with your own height. Our models (Core, Flow and Pro) come in different frame sizes measured in centimeters (cm).
Here is a guide table that will suit most people:
| Your height (approx.) | Recommended frame size |
| 155 - 170 cm | 43 - 45 cm |
| 165 - 175 cm | 48cm |
| 170 - 180 cm | 50cm |
| 170 - 185 cm | 52 cm |
| 175 - 190 cm | 54cm |
| 185+ cm | 56+ cm |
Note: If you are on the borderline between two sizes, we often recommend choosing the smaller size for a more upright and comfortable riding position, or the larger size for a sportier position.
Want to be absolutely sure? Measure your stride length
Height is a good indicator, but we all have different leg lengths. To be absolutely precise, you can measure your stride length:
- Stand without shoes with your back against a wall.
- Place a book at your crotch (as if you were sitting on a saddle).
- Measure the distance from the top of the book down to the floor.
- The calculation: Multiply your stride length in cm by 0.66.
Example: If you have a stride length of 79 cm, the calculation is: 79 x 0.66 = 52.14. Here, a size 52 would be the perfect match.
10-year warranty on the frame
No matter which size you choose, you can be confident in its durability. We know that our bikes are built to be used in the Danish weather. That's why we offer a full 10-year warranty on the frame against frame breakage. It's your assurance that you'll have a bike that will last for many years.
Although numbers and tables are a good help, nothing beats the feeling of a test ride. An electric bike needs to be felt.
At our retailers you can try the different sizes and get professional guidance on adjusting both saddle height and handlebars, so you sit perfectly.
