Choosing the right battery for your electric bike starts with understanding your actual riding needs. Before selecting a battery size, it’s important to consider how far you typically ride and under what conditions.
What determines the range? The range of an electric bike depends on the battery capacity (measured in Watt-hours or Ampere Ah), but also on many other important factors such as wind, weather, your own effort, the rider's weight, the weight of the bike, terrain, cycling style and tire pressure.
Our rules of thumb:
-
Basic battery (238 Wh = Range up to 40 km): Ideal for those who primarily use the bike for shopping, short trips in the local area or shorter trips to and from work.
-
Eco battery (317 Wh = Range up to 50 km): Perfect for those who primarily use the bike for shopping, longer trips in their free time or to commute to and from work.
-
Standard battery (374 Wh - 396 Wh = Range up to 80 km): The golden choice for the commuter who has a medium distance to work and would like to be able to drive back and forth without charging each time, while also taking longer trips in his spare time.
-
Boost battery (504 Wh - 576 Wh = Range up to 110 km): For those who use their e-bike in everyday life instead of their car. Choose this if you love long Sunday rides in the open air, or if you want to be sure you have enough battery, even in strong headwinds and hilly terrain.
- Long Range Battery (691 Wh - 720 Wh = Range up to 130 km): For those who never want to compromise on battery capacity and range. Our most powerful battery, allowing for freedom and cycling adventures on a whole new scale.
