I bought my bike in May 2016 after a lot of research. The Batribike came up best because of the quality, value for money and it belonging to a UK based company with local dealers. Mine was Roy Jervis at Ripley, Derbyshire and they have been brilliant.

As for the bike itself I would go as far as saying it has been life changing. I enjoyed biking years ago, but gave it up due to joint problems and mainly living in a part of Derbyshire with killer hills in every direction.

My bike has opened up the countryside to me, I’ve cycled through little villages I’ve never been to before, even though they are virtually on my doorstep. Every week I delight in planning a new ride.

My fitness is increasing and I’m finding that I’m able to approach hills in a higher gear with less assistance than when I first had the bike. If you are familiar with the High Peak Trail from Cromford, I can get up with Sheep Pasture incline with 3 stops to catch my breath. I couldn’t even walk up that without stopping multiple times.

The range on the battery is proving to be excellent. My longest ride to date was 51 miles and I arrived home with 60% still showing on the battery. That particular ride included the High Peak Trail, Pennine Bridleway and the Monsall Trail so a nice, fairly flat ride, but I was still impressed with the battery life.

My most arduous ride was 43 miles around the Peak District and the battery finally gave up at the end due to the killer hills and the fact that I got lazy on the way home and took advantage of the power.

I would recommend this bike over and over. It has been the best thing I’ve ever bought.
