Promovec Increases Share in Batribike to Take on Full Ownership
Batribike Begins
The Batribike brand was established by the Coulson family in 2007. From those early days of direct retail sales the brand has continued to grow to develop a wide dealer network.
In 2017 a new company, Batribike Limited, was formed in partnership with Promovec Holdings. A Danish company who have been developing and supplying e-bikes and e-bike components since 2008.
The Time is Right
As the current MD Steve Coulson looks ahead to his retirement it was decided that the time was right to sell the Coulson Holdings share of Batribike to Promovec.
A new MD will be appointed by Promovec, and Steve will step down as managing director but will continue working for Batribike to facilitate a smooth transition.
In the meantime, it is very much business as usual at Batribike HQ, with the same service for customers and dealers alike.
Future Developments
In its fifteen-year history Batribike has not stood still. Being among the first to embrace lithium technology. Pushing to ensure everyone complied with safety standards, not just in design but in transportation too. Being part of industry bodies when no-one thought that electric bikes would be the new transport choice.
This new step is part of moving ahead too, with the investment that Promovec can bring, not only financially but also in terms of product development expertise. Batribike, as the UK arm of Promovec Holdings, will be able to ensure the continued growth of the brand.
There are exciting times ahead as Batribike aims to continue to build its dealer base. With the Promovec expertise in design and components it will also further develop its future e-bike range.
